Welcome to Literacy4Learning...

The K-12 Reading Language Arts Program provides staff development opportunities to Los Angeles County schools in the area of literacy development. We offer trainings that focus on core elements of schoolwide literacy, as well as, Professional Development Opportunities. SB 472 is a state-approved, grade-level specific, introductory 40-hour training that prepares participants to teach the first 6-10 weeks of the district's state-adopted 2002 or 2008 English language arts program.

A variety of flexible training options are available for the state-adopted 2002 and 2008 English language arts programs. These grade-specific, introductory trainings prepare the participant to teach the district's state-adopted curriculum. Participants will study and learn the interdependence of the program components.
